Jake runs DJ Zero.
DJ Zero is the cybersecurity practice of Digital Jennerations, and Jake leads it. When you email, you reach Jake, not a ticket queue. When we do an assessment, Jake is the one reading your findings and writing your report.

Four rules we don't bend.
Plain English or it doesn't ship.
Every finding in every report is written so the owner can understand it without calling us. If a sentence needs a glossary, we rewrite the sentence.
Price first, then work.
You see a fixed number in writing before anything starts. If we misjudged the effort, we eat it. "Zero surprises" is a billing policy as much as a security one.
You own everything.
Admin accounts, backups, documentation, the password manager vault: all in your name from day one. Leaving us should take an email, not a negotiation.
Written permission before we touch anything.
Even read-only. A one-page authorization letter protects you, protects us, and keeps every engagement clean. We won't start without it.
We're deliberately defensive right now.
You'll notice we don't sell penetration testing. That's on purpose. We've built this practice around the controls that prevent the vast majority of small-business breaches, and we'd rather do that to a very high standard than sell offensive work before we can deliver it to the same one. When we add it, we'll say so here, and it will be properly scoped and authorized.
Until then, if you genuinely need a penetration test, tell us. We'll point you to a partner we trust rather than pretend an automated scan is one.
Questions we get asked
We're small. Are we really a target?
Yes, mostly because attacks are automated. Nobody picks you; software scans the whole internet for reused passwords, missing MFA and misconfigured email, and small businesses are where those are most common. The good news is the fixes are cheap compared to the alternative.
Can you guarantee we won't be breached?
No, and anyone who says they can is selling you something. What we guarantee is that you'll know your real exposure, that every fix we recommend is priced and explained, and that if something does happen you'll have tested backups and a plan.
What access do you need for the baseline?
Read-only admin access to your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, a conversation with whoever manages your devices and network, and a signed authorization letter from you. We never make changes during an assessment.
What if we already have an IT company?
That's common and it works fine. Most IT providers keep things running; we focus on keeping them secure. We'll coordinate with them, and the baseline report often gives them a clear list to act on.
Do you only work in Spokane?
No. Everything we do can be done remotely, and most of it is. We work with businesses anywhere in the United States. On-site visits in the Inland Northwest are available when hands-on work makes sense.
What's the relationship to Digital Jennerations?
Same company, same people, same values. Digital Jennerations builds custom software for businesses; DJ Zero keeps businesses secure. Clients of one often become clients of the other, but neither requires the other.
